For years, I struggled with feeling exhausted no matter how much sleep I got. I would wake up drained, push through my day fueled by caffeine and sheer willpower, then crash hard in the afternoon—only to feel wired at night when I desperately needed rest. It was a vicious cycle, and no amount of "pushing through" made it better. Not to mention the excessive weight gain, even when I did "all the things" like regular cardio, strength training and eating healthy.

After digging deep into my symptoms, I discovered I was dealing with adrenal fatigue. My body was burned out from chronic stress, poor recovery, and years of doing too much without the proper support. That’s when I knew I had to make a change—not just for my energy, but for my overall health and longevity.

How I’m Healing from Adrenal Fatigue

Healing my body hasn’t been about a quick fix—it’s been
about a complete lifestyle shift. I’ve focused on three key areas:

Adjusting My Workouts for Energy, Not Burnout

  • I shifted from high-intensity workouts that left me depleted to a balanced mix of strength training, walking, and restorative movement like deep stretching and mobility work.

  • I walk daily to ensure I get in 2 miles a day.

  • I've begun focusing on volume strength training vs. lifting HEAVY to increase muscle tone.

  • I focus on building muscle to support my metabolism and long-term health without overstressing my system.

  • I listen to my body and prioritize rest and recovery instead of pushing through fatigue.

Nourishing My Body with the Right Foods

  • I’ve completely changed my nutrition to support hormone balance and energy regulation.

  • I ensure that I am done eating by 6:00pm most days to ensure I have time to digest and help with restorative sleep.

  • I prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods with an emphasis on protein, many more healthy fats, and carb cycling to keep my blood sugar stable.

  • I incorporate magnesium-rich foods (like leafy greens, nuts, and seeds) and take a high-quality magnesium supplement to help manage stress and improve sleep.

  • I cut back on caffeine and sugar, both of which were wreaking havoc on my cortisol levels. Thanks to my daily Fit & Energized i was able to quit coffee completely.
